Margarete reported clean up and landscaping of the Airport Pond last weekend was a success. The volunteers planted trees and shrubs. The landscaping requires watering on a scheduled basis by volunteers.
Margarete reported that there is a low spot at the east border of the Centennial Farm Open Space. The committee recommended a culvert be installed to facilitate the flow of water. Committee members will meet with Margarate next week at the location to firm up plans for correcting this issue.
The event on May 16th was a huge success. Another event will be scheduled in October. It was decided to dedicate at least three and possibly four dumpsters strictly for yard waste and to request help to compact them as yard waste is dumped. At least 10 dumpsters will be required for the October event including one for wood and one for metal and five for trash. If all dumpsters are full before close of business on Sunday the excess amount will be put on the ground to prevent mixing yard waste with trash, wood or concrete.
Art Koester presented a draft of the bid for a forestry consultant. Art and Rose will finalize the package and finalize the bidder list. . Cliff subsequently met with Dale who stated that the bid package should be mailed under his signature. Cliff and Dale will meet Wednesday June 24th to bring the TWP Board members up to speed as to the reasons for this action. Cliff will communicate feed back from board members to Rose and Art.
Improving Open Space Appearance.
