The Grosse Ile Education Foundation

Mission Statement

The general purpose of The Grosse Ile Educational Foundation is to enrich and enhance the quality of the educational experiences for the citizens of Grosse Ile.

The Foundation hopes to advance this ideal by making private funds available and to focus financial support on programs which will promote the development of innovative educational projects, the acquisition of materials and equipment and the study of alternative means of educating the students and citizens of the community. This funding specifically addresses projects, programs or materials which otherwise would not be provided by the Grosse Ile Township Schools.

Grants

Any community member or group may apply for a grant to fund a special educational project. The Board of Directors will review the applications and approve grants.

Enrichment Opportunities

The Foundation funds enrichment programs which benefit members of the Grosse Ile community and through education, strengthens our future.

How is The Foundation supported?

The Foundation is supported by grants, donations and gifts from individuals and corporations having an interest in the educational opportunities for the residents of Grosse Ile. The Foundation is a non-profit tax exempt 501( c ) (3) corporation. Gifts or donations to The Foundation are tax deductible.
