Yard Waste / Compost Pick-Up

COMPOST / YARD WASTE

Place in regular plastic or metal trash cans.  Receptacles should not weigh more than fifty lbs.  Special yard waste paper bags are acceptable.  Yard waste must be separated from regular  trash by eight–ten feet.  At least one bag must be clearly marked YARD WASTE OR COMPOST.

 

Only 10-12 bags per week:  Please place yard waste out in an orderly fashion for pickup.  Absolutely NO Plastic Bags Permitted!

 

Acceptable Items:

Tree branches, brush, shrubs, etc. (with dirt & roots removed and not to exceed over 2” in diameter).They must be tied and bundled in four foot lengths.  No more than fifty lbs in weight. Garden waste, weeds, and hay are considered yard waste.

                                               

Not Acceptable Items:

No sod or dirt allowed.  No Cardboard boxes with yard waste in them.

Pumpkins are not compost and should be placed in the regular  trash.        

 

No yard waste in plastic bags of any sort.

Do not put yard waste in buckets, wooden crates or receptacles not listed.
