The membership of the committee is a multi-faceted group composed of representatives of the Township Board, Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy, Beautification Committee, Planning Commission and residents at large. Additional resident members are welcomed and encouraged to participate. The committee meets on the third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m.
The Greenways Committee has continued to provide recommendations to the Township Board regarding land acquisition utilizing the previously approved acquisition criteria. During the previous year a Forestry report was completed. The committee is now in the process of implementing the recommendations made by the township forestry consultant. Throughout the implementation process the committee will continue to provide recommendations to the Township Board.
