Master Plan:

The Plan will emphasize the integration between the various community planning and design topics covered, including: residential neighborhoods, natural features, Macomb Street, the airport and industrial park, economic development, recreation, public facilities, infrastructure, transportation and overall community character. Completion of the Master Plan on schedule will be a top priority for the Planning Commission during 2002.

The Township Build-out Analysis was finalized and adopted by the Planning Commission in early 2001.

Training:

The Planning Commission hosted a planning and zoning training seminar that covered basics on master plans, zoning ordinances, development reviews, variances and tips for conducting public hearings. Members of the Planning Commission, Township Board and Zoning Board of Appeals were in attendance for this session.

New Members:

During 2001, the Planning Commission welcomed Jay Frucci, Michael Martin, and Eric Ranka as new members.
