Note from the Supervisor:

It appears that an email from the group opposing the open space millages was sent using the township's email list without our approval or consent. We did not release this list and are investigating how it was acquired. This led to several additional election related emails. Please accept our apologies, as we attempt to limit use of the list to its express purpose only: the weekly e-letter. We ask that everyone who received these group emails related to the election please do not continue to mass mail to it, especially with the all the addresses listed, as it raises obvious privacy concerns. I suggest that you reply to the sender of the first group email to express your dissatisfaction with the use of the list with all the email addresses exposed.

State Rep - 23rd District

I would like to extend my congratulations to Gibraltar Councilwoman Kathleen Law on her victory in the race and wish her much success in serving the eight great communities that make up the district.

I would also like to thank all those who worked so hard on our campaign, and Grosse Ile for such a resounding vote of confidence. I look forward to continuing to serve on our Township Board.

Districtwide results: 13,264 to 13,036 for Law (228 vote margin out of 26,300 votes cast)

Grosse Ile results: 3832 to 1378 for Jones
