Trick or Treat Hours
Katie, Stefan and Hayden are pleased that the Board of Trustees have designated Tuesday, October 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as the official Trick or Treat hours for Grosse Ile Township. Please be careful and watch out for ghosts and goblins!
PumpkinFest and the Pumpkin Carving Contest
Sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority and the Grosse Ile Business Association, join us for PumpkinFest this Friday night, October 27 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Macomb Street. Carve a pumpkin for the pumpkin carving contest and drop off your prized creation until 9:00 p.m. to 7980 Macomb on October 26. Lighted pumpkins will line Macomb Street Friday night so come out and vote for your favorite jack-o-lantern. Food, treats and fun are available at participating merchants.
Hurray for Halloween Costume Parade
Come one, come all! No one is too big or too small to participate in the annual Hurray for Halloween Costume Parade on Saturday, October 28. Line up starts at 10:15 a.m. at the Grosse Ile High School parking lot. The parade will lead us down Lyons to Macomb and on to the VFW Hall for prizes!
Trick or Treat on Macomb Street
After the Halloween parade, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Island businesses with an orange pumpkin displayed in their window will participate in trick or treating for the kids.
GIYRA Haunted House
Don’t miss the annual GIYRA Haunted House as this year’s theme is “The Lab.”
This spooky laboratory is now open through October 31 at 7:00 p.m. Check out the website by clicking on the link: http://www.thelabhaunt.com

A Dad Saying
They say the first World Series is the one you remember most. No, no, no. I guarantee you don’t remember that one because the fantasy world you always dreamed about is suddenly real.
