The Wayne County Free Bridge Closure

Bridge Closure Will Commence This Coming Wednesday,
May 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.

A reminder to all residents that the Wayne County Bridge will close this coming Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.

As of today, all traffic signs announcing the closure have been put in place.  In addition, traffic signals and lights are now operational.  Please drive safety as you approach intersections and observe the new operational traffic signals. 

Additionally in order to make sure that we have the best fire protection on site at the Toll Plaza, both the City of Riverview and the Township’s Fire Departments have discussed the installation of a dry hydrant system in the City of Riverview that will be able to service the site.  To aid in this process, within the next eight days, both fire departments will cooperatively train at the site to make sure that they address all life safety issues.     

The Supervisor will hold office hours to meet with residents each Wednesday and Friday afternoon and any Monday that a board meeting is scheduled.  To make an appointment with the Supervisor, please contact Administrative Assistant Carol Knopp at 734.676.4422, ext. 210.
