SAFE BOATING CLASS:
Registration 04 may 2011 at the Gibraltar Community Center. The Grosse Ile Power Squadron will be teaching a Safe Boating Class open to general public, this will be an 8 week course and those completing the course will receive their Safe Boating Certificate. Class will be held at the Gibraltar Community Center each Wednesday from 7:00PM to 9:00 pm, cost of materials is $35.00
JUNIOR POWER BOAT PROGRAM: Registration 26 MAY 2011 at Water's Edge marina. This is an Inter-Lake Yachting Association program with classes hosted by WRYCC. The program is open to all juniors between the ages of 12 and 18 who are interested in power boating. Participants will receive their Safe Boating Certificate, in addition there will be ON-THE-WATER training and competitions. Juniors having completed this program are welcome to compete at the annual I-LYA Regatta 27 July through 31 July at Put-In-Bay, Ohio. Scholarships and prizes available to eligible participants
The Grosse Ile Gridiron Club
is hosting it's first annual Wild Game Dinner which will be held at the Grosse Ile Pilot House on Saturday, May 7th. The Gridiron Club's purpose is to support the players and Coaching Staff of the Grosse Ile Football team. Our goal for this event is to raise much needed funds for the Grosse Ile High School Football Team for uniforms, developmental assistance and most importantly safety equipment.
