Flag Football
The Grosse Ile Grid Iron Club, along with GIYRA Sports would like to introduce Flag Football to the Island. This will be our inaugural season.
Sign up: Now through May 17, 2008
Via the GIYRA website, mail or an in-person registration on May 3, 2008 9 am – 1pm at the GIYRA clubhouse.
Age Group: 6 – 9 Year Olds
Schedule: Sat May 31, Sat June 7, Sat June 14, Sat June 21
Practices: 9 am – 10 am
Games: 10 am – 11 am
Location: GI Varsity Football Field
Coaches: Grosse Ile Varsity Football Players
(With support from GIFB Coaching Staff)
Cost: $ 40 per player
(Includes jersey, equipment, & registration to GI Football Youth Camp)

Citizen of the Year
The Grosse Ile Rotary Club is accepting nominations for the 2008 Citizen of the Year.
Your nominations should include a description of the individual’s service to the community and the names of others to contact about the proposed nominee’s service.
