 To enhance the quality of life on Grosse Ile by providing prompt, professional community-oriented police services, while enforcing state statutes and local ordinances for a safe and secure community.

On December 31, 2018, Chief Joseph S. Porcarelli retired after thirty-three and a half years of dedicated service.
On June 30, 2018, Deputy Chief Robert Bow retired after thirty years of dedicated service.
